What is 3 on 6?
The Closest Thing to Natural Teeth

A revolutionary dental implant solution that’s permanent, beautiful, & life-changing.

Transform Your Smile with the 3 on 6 Procedure

The 3 on 6™ procedure replaces all of the teeth in the mouth with six implants and three bridges. The treatment is designed to give the patient a set of permanent teeth with the added benefit of preserving their healthy bone and giving them a natural gum line.

The 3 on 6™ functions and feels like natural teeth.

Why Choose the 3 on 6?

  • Permanent and Secure: 3 on 6 utilizes six implants with three zirconia bridges permanently secured to them. This means your teeth don't come out for cleaning at home or at the dentist!

  • Natural Look and Feel: The 3 on 6 preserves the patients bone and tissue so there is no need for artificial pink gums or denture. Kissing, eating, and speaking feel natural.

  • Simple Maintenance: No glues, no harsh chemicals, just standard brushing and flossing. Your bridges can never get cavities and with basic oral hygiene, your smile can last you a lifetime!

The teeth look good. The gums look good. I’m super happy with the decision I made. Everything is connected, we got to optimize our health, and it all starts with our teeth.

The Science Behind the Smile

The patient's bone is preserved and built up through grafting at the time of surgery. This improves healing and recovery and long term oral health.

Six titanium implants are placed in the arch of the mouth in a guided surgery. The implants osseointegrate to the bone,  creating a solid foundation for the restoration.

A full arch of temporary teeth is placed at the time of surgery to provide cross-arch stabilization. This protects the implants as they heal to the bone.

The natural gums are preserved and heal to form keratinized tissue surrounding the implants which helps prevent infection and create a more esthetic outcome.

After the implants have healed, the arch of temporary teeth is replaced with segmented bridges. This allows more natural movement of the jaw bone and bone-preserving stimulation.

Over a Decade of Innovation

After graduating from NYU dental school in 2011, Dr. Randy Roberts returned to Utah with his brother John to start Utah Smile Clinic. Initially offering general dental services, Dr. Roberts developed a passion for dental implants and quickly became Utah’s top provider. As his expertise grew, he encountered increasingly complex cases, including a challenge from his cousin in 2013—who needed full-mouth restoration but was quoted $80,000 for an All-on-4 treatment.

Recognizing the flaws of All-on-4, including bone removal, hygiene issues, and long-term bone loss, Dr. Roberts sought a better solution. Drawing from his experience with implants and bridges, he engineered a more hygienic, affordable alternative that preserved natural bone. The result was the 3 on 6™—a treatment using six implants and three bridges per arch, eliminating the need for artificial gums.

In 2014, Dr. Roberts successfully performed the first 3 on 6™ procedure on his cousin. As demand grew, he refined his techniques and collaborated with major dental implant manufacturers to enhance surgical components. His relentless innovation has since positioned 3 on 6™ as a groundbreaking advancement in full-mouth restoration.

Faster Results with Our In-House Lab

In dentistry, many dentists outsource the manufacturing of crowns and bridges to a dental lab. Not only does this significantly add to the cost of dental work, but it can also extend the treatment timeline.

At Smile Clinic, we use our own in-house lab, cutting costs without the middle-man and speeding up the treatment time.

Our dedicated lab is the only lab in the world authorized to design and manufacture 3 on 6™ smiles. The attention to detail and quick workflow between the dentist and the lab technicians mean every smile is crafted to near perfection.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How much does the 3 on 6 cost?
The cost of a 3 on 6™ treatment varies based on each patient’s needs, but it is generally around $25,000 per arch. We offer flexible financing options to help make treatment affordable within your budget, sometimes under a few hundred dollars a month. The best way to get an accurate price for your specific case is to schedule a consultation, where we’ll provide a personalized treatment plan with exact pricing.
  • Will my insurance cover this?
Dental insurance typically has low annual caps, which means it may only cover a small portion of the 3 on 6™ procedure. Medical insurance rarely covers dental treatments, but we will help you maximize any benefits your dental plan offers. During your consultation, we’ll review your insurance details and explore flexible financing options to make treatment as affordable as possible.
  • How long does the procedure take?
The 3 on 6™ procedure typically takes about 3–4 hours per arch. In most cases, patients are under general sedation and comfortably asleep for the entire procedure. This ensures a smooth and pain-free experience while our skilled team restores your smile.
  • What is the recovery time?
Recovery time varies by patient, but most people can return to normal activities within a few days. Some swelling and discomfort are expected in the first week, but this is manageable with prescribed medications. The implants will continue to heal and integrate with the bone over the next few months. We provide detailed aftercare instructions and support to ensure a smooth recovery.
  • What if I have severe bone loss?
If you have severe bone loss, you are likely still a candidate for the 3 on 6™ procedure. Unlike other treatments that remove bone, the 3 on 6™ is designed to build up existing bone for implant placement. During your consultation, we’ll take detailed scans to evaluate your bone structure and determine the best treatment plan for you. If for some reason you are not a candidate for 3 on 6™, we will present other treatment options to you.
