Traveling for Dental Treatment
As the creators of the 3 on 6™ procedure and reputation of world-class treatment, a growing number of patients are coming to our office from outside of Utah and even the United States. Every week we see patients from outside of Utah.
To make this process simple and stress-free for patients, we've developed a simple system.
2-VISIT
TREATMENT OUTLINE

Before anything happens, give us a call! We’ll get you in touch with a 3 on 6™ treatment coordinator. Through a free virtual consultation we will answer any questions, let you know approximate price, explain financing options, treatment, and answer any additional questions you have.
VISIT 1 (3-DAYS)

Day 1: Records
On day 1 of your first visit, we will see you for a records review and surgical planning appointment. At this appointment you will meet with your doctor to discuss any questions you may have and start the smile design planning by taking a CBCT scan, intraoral scan, and clinical photos. This will give us all the information we need to prepare for your surgery on the following day.
Day 2: Implant Placement
On day 2, your doctor will place your implants and your temporary bridges of teeth. This appointment will last approximately 3 hours for one arch, or 5 hours for a full mouth. You will be asleep and comfortable during the procedure and when you wake up you’ll have new teeth!
Day 3: Post-Op
On day 3, you will come in for a brief post-op visit. In this visit we want to see how you are healing and communicate with you about next steps. This is your opportunity to provide feedback on the look and feel of your temporary teeth so that we can make any necessary changes for your final set of zirconia bridges.
After this visit you will return home and we will schedule your final visit approximately 16 weeks out. This will allow your implants time to heal before we place your final teeth.
VISIT 2 (4-7 DAYS)

Day 1: Smile Evaluation
On day 1 of your final visit, we will take a look at your mouth and see how everything has healed. We will also take another set of scans to know the exact topology of your mouth so we can make a set of teeth for you that will be for final approval purposes.
Day 2: Smile Design
On day 2, we will swap out your temporary set of teeth that you got at the time of surgery with another set of temporary teeth that have been modified based on your feedback. We will make any necessary adjustments to make sure you're happy with the look and feel of the teeth. At the end of this appointment, you will approve the design of the final set of teeth that you will receive.
Day 3: Lab Work
On day 3, we will be expediting the manufacturing of your zirconia bridges to make your trip as short as possible. You will not need to come into the office this day and can spend your time relaxing or visiting some of the beautiful sights and locations in Utah. Our lab team will work through the night to have your teeth ready for the following day.
Day 4: Final Teeth
On day 4, we will have you come back into the office to receive your final teeth. We will remove your temporary teeth and seat your permanent zirconia bridges. This is it, the last set of teeth you will ever have! At the end of this appointment we will take some pictures before sending you on your way. You're all done and shouldn't require any more visits!

Alternatively, Provo Airport is less than a 40-minute drive to our office.
Transportation

We recommend patients take an Uber from the airport, which costs about $20. This is the quickest and easiest option.

There are many food and entertainment options within walking distance of the clinic and the hotel, eliminating the need for a rental car.

Caregiver

On your first trip, we recommend you bring a caregiver with you as it can take several hours to recover from sedation after the procedure. This person should be capable of assisting you in transferring in and out of a seated position.

If you are unable to bring a caretaker with you, please let us know and we can schedule one for you from a caretaking service. This service typically costs $200.
